The American Horse Council (AHC) announced today the addition of Bryan L. Brendle to their team as the Director of Policy & Legislative Affairs.
In this capacity Brendle will lead the public policy, government relations and advocacy efforts of AHC. Brendle is a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College of Virginia and holds a Juris Doctor from Mercer Law School in Georgia.
“Bryan is a seasoned legislative and government relations professional having worked in DC for over 20 years. He brings a wealth of firsthand experience with issues ranging from energy, environment, transportation, tax and agriculture policies to the AHC,” said AHC President Julie Broadway. “His experience as an advocate for business including Director of Government Relations and Senior Director of Government Affairs for pro-business trade associations will be a great asset to the AHC and continuing to ensure our industry has a voice here in Washington, DC.”
“Joining the team at the American Horse Council couldn’t be a more exciting opportunity,” said Brendle. “Serving as an advocate for the AHC will allow me to combine my passions for pro-business lobbying, riding, and all the activities that support the equine industry, a key pillar for America’s history and agricultural economy.”
Brendle joins Broadway; Ashley Furst, Director of Communications and Unwanted Horse Coalition; Cliff Williamson, Director of Health & Regulatory Affairs; Ryan Smith, Office Administrator; and several consultants that advocate for the social, economic and legislative interests of the US horse industry.
