Thanks to your direct lobbying efforts, the horse industry’s legislative victories in 2018 are building momentum for this year’s agenda! To push the industry’s priorities over the finish line, please join your friends and peers in Washington in late October to advocate for the following:

• More federal funding for Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT) to benefit America’s veterans;
• A Senate hearing for the PAST Act, following the win in the House;
• Practical solutions to the industry’s chronic labor shortage;
• And other issues that may arise during the next 60-days.

AHC will share information related to key meetings during the weeks ahead. Meanwhile, if you have specific lawmakers with whom you would like to meet, please contact AHC so we can book the appointments.

AHC welcomes participation for one or both days. For day travelers to Washington, as a general rule you should arrive on Capitol Hill thirty minutes prior to your first appointment and be prepared for meetings through 5:00 PM.

Please note that we will host a legislative briefing the morning of Tuesday, October 22 to prepare participants for their congressional visits.
